With this Thanksgiving holiday coming up, we would like to share with all of you what we here at The People Picture Company are most grateful for.
I am thankful for all our clients. From the ones who were here at the very start of me being a part of People Picture Co. back in 2012 to now in 2016. I was almost a social work major in college because I loved people so much and learning about their lives and helping in any way I can. People Picture Co. allows me to connect with people in this level and be a part of their lives while providing them with memories they’ll cherish. Thank you to our all our clients. You inspire me! Truly, you do. Each session with every person is unique and intrinsic to who they are. Each wedding. Each baby. I’m sorry I’m being so sappy! I just love being a part of my client’s lives in this way. Thank you!
Some of my favorites from this year was Marianna and Dan Yost’s birth story. This was an incredible experience and honor and I definitely cried in happiness for them! Auden Johnson’s 6 month session this fall because I’ve known Charlene and Jesse since their wedding in 2014. And Amanda and John’s Loft 310 October wedding. I felt like one of Amanda’s best friends by the end of the night. I can’t list every single session because then this post would go on forever or else I would!
I am grateful to our clients for letting us be a part of their lives, being let into their weddings, their homes. It’s an incredible privilege that I cherish. The Steketee family is one session that stands out to me in particular this year. I’ve known Steve for 4 years and worked with him on numerous corporate projects. This year I had the honor of photographing his family.
Earlier this year, I left my full time corporate job to work in the studio with The People Picture Company. Although I’ve been around the studio since it opened (literally right upstairs!) offering input and assistance occasionally, it wasn’t until this year that I became a full member of the team. Without our clients, I wouldn’t have been able to make this change. You guys are amazing!
I love working with our clients to create stylized sessions like Hannah’s retro senior session, watching our clients’ grow (I can’t believe how big Edward is getting!), and capturing all the special moments that our clients will treasure for the rest of their lives (Austin & Tori, your wedding was amazing - even with the rain).
So here’s to you, our clients. You are a huge part of my life, and I’m so thankful to be a part of yours. Happy Thanksgiving.
My favorite part about being a photographer is the bond I get to make with each of our clients. Every session has a story, and with each story comes with a unique experience. I am so thankful for the time I get to spend making all of our clients happy. Seeing their smiles when we showcase their portraits, it’s just something that cannot be re-created.
This year I have had the privilege of photographing and taking part of many different weddings, each one unlike any other. I love when I can leave a wedding knowing that it wasn’t just a job, but much more than that. I feel like part of the family. Amanda and John’s wedding was simply one of my favorites over this past year. To them, family meant everything and by including Bri and I into that family it meant so much to us.
I am looking forward to another amazing year filled with many familiar faces and new clients. Happy Thanksgiving, to all of you, you are the reason we do what we do!
