The wedding of Elle and Benton started with a traditional Chinese tea ceremony. Complete with Benton's processional around The Cheney Place, the wooing of Elle where Benton had to get past her bridesmaids, and of course, the offering of tea to family members. It was beautiful and vibrant with color, laughs, and love.
After the tea ceremony, Elle wanted to show off her wedding dress to Benton, so they had a first look and then drove around downtown Grand Rapids for their formal portraits, visiting Crescent Park and the old DeVos Place entry on Lyon St.
In front of friends and family from near and far, Elle and Benton said their vows under the chandeliers of The Cheney Place. It was short. It was sweet. It was beautiful.
The reception was a perfect blend of traditions. Toasts and cake cutting blended with a Cambodian outfit changes, signing and dancing.
Elle and Benton's portrait area was a huge hit with friends and family members taking advantage to get a fun portrait to remember the night.
