Kate and Pat are an adorable couple with a cute engagement story. Pat decided he was going to propose to Kate at the Detroit Institute of Arts. He took his mom with him when he picked up the ring in Ann Arbor before he and Kate went to the museum. Because Pat had shoulder surgery not long before this trip, he was able to slip the ring in his sling as they were heading out the door. He carried the ring this way throughout the museum, and while sitting outside on a bench, Pat asked Kate to marry him.
We started Pat and Kate's engagement session at their home with their very loving pup, Colby, who naturally thought it was all about him.
Next, we went downtown to MadCap. Pat and Kate used to live downtown, and MadCap was there corner coffee shop, going there every week to enjoy latte's and other tasty caffeinated beverages.
We concluded the engagement session with a drink at Butcher's Union, a newer whiskey bar on the west side of town.
We are looking forward to their wedding at the greenhouse of the Downtown Market next April!
