A wedding reception is a unique time for the gathered family, because for once, everybody is together, dressed up, all in one place. It’s the perfect time to photograph kids, aunts, every different kind of family unit. It’s a rare time to make pictures with college friends from out of state, and old friends from grade school, and not all just with the bride and groom. Bigger than a photo booth, since more than 2-4 people can be photographed at once, with no feather boas or funny hats, our portrait areas create pictures for the wall, not the refrigerator.Read More

StageGR wrapped up its 2nd season with the play, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.
Six awkward spelling champions learn that winning (and losing) isn't everything.
Winner of the Tony and the Drama Desk Awards for Best Book, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee has charmed audiences across the country with its effortless wit and humor. Featuring a fast-paced, wildly funny and touching book by Rachel Sheinkin and a truly fresh and vibrant score by William Finn, this bee is one unforgettable experience.
An eclectic group of six teenagers vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves! At least the losers get a juice box.
A riotous ride, complete with audience participation, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a delightful den of comedic genius presented by 16 talented Grand Rapids area high school students.
Each of the kids that participated in the play worked tirelessly learning lines, dances and songs. Here they are in all their glory!Read More

EmbodyGR is 3! They celebrated as any Yogi would, by having a group class with live music and food. It was a wonderful event sharing togetherness, peace, and meditation. We have known Dana and EmbodyGR for a few years now. Bri, from The People Picture Co, met Dana back in 2015 when she photographed for them for the first time. The positive energy that this whole community displayed was inspiring. Ever since then, Bri and other members of The People Picture Co, Autumn and Kris, have been photographing many events for EmbodyGR. "What we love about Embody GR is they continuously give back to their community. May events are free or any donations made are going to a good cause," -Bri.Read More
